This basic dress is a great all-around style! It's wonderful as a light summer dress with short sleeves, or made from summer sweat fabric with long sleeves, perfect for cooler days!
The dress has a loose fit and is perfect for small children. It can be sewn sleeveless, with cap sleeves, long sleeves, or short sleeves. It's just as suitable for romping around as it is for fancy occasions! For example, it can be finished with lace (at the hem), a fake button placket, or piping. It's designed for jersey and summer sweat fabrics.
The pattern is only designed for stretchy jersey and summer sweat/French terry.
