The Sweater Glöckchen Ladys #54 is a loose-fitting top with a slight waist that loosely hugs the hips, for sizes 30 - 54.

The typical character of the sweater pattern is a layering look, so it looks as if a blouse is being worn under the sweater with cuffs. If you leave out the fake blouse, you get a casual short sweater with cuffs.
A simple version without a layering look is also possible; this version is hemmed and cut a little longer than the version with cuffs. Then it is a casual sweater that is still cut a little short to round off a real layering look. It can be combined with blouses, dresses, skirts or even high-waisted trousers.

The sweater offers different hem finishes, straight hem or round mullet hem. If the hem is then sewn with a cuff, you can choose between a simple, all-round closed cuff or a cuff with a side slit.
A ruffle is sewn on to look like a blouse. Here, too, you can choose between a round hem or a straight hem. The straight hem is particularly suitable for beginners, as it is easier to hem the whole thing with woven fabric. The fake blouse is slightly gathered, but on the pattern sheet you will also find instructions on how to sew the whole thing without gathering and thus create a new look.

The Glöckchen sweater also offers different sleeve variations, so there is something for every taste:

• simple sleeve with cuffs
• Puff sleeves with cuffs
• Trumpet sleeves with cuffs
• wide sleeves with an elastic band in the hem
• Simple sleeves and puff sleeves can also be sewn with a ruffle on the hem instead of cuffs, so that the appearance of a layered look is created here too.


In the simpler version, the neckline is sewn with cuffs. If you like it really romantic, choose a neck ruffle that is sewn in with a facing, which also creates a layered look at the neckline.

Fabric recommendation
The sweater is designed for medium-weight, stretchy knitwear such as French terry, knitted jacquard or similar. Light to medium-weight woven fabrics such as poplin, linen, voile, etc. are suitable for the layering look of the blouse.
